RIYADH, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia will start recruiting Yemeni doctors in all its private hospitals, in which qualified physicians working in Arab countries will be given employment priority, Al Eqtisadiya online news reported on Friday.
The decision was made after the approval by the ministry of interior and the ministry of labor, as the Yemeni candidates should meet conditions and specifications for the recruitment in the medical sector.
The move is part of several steps Saudi Arabia is taking to help Yemenis cope with the war that shows no sign of an end since the beginning of airstrikes that was launched by the Saudi-led Arab coalition against Houthis in March last year.
The country has announced recently an initiative to grant temporary work permits for Yemeni residents. The renewable permits are valid for six months.
