LISBON, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Lisbon's metropolitan police revealed on Friday that earlier this week nine men and a woman aged between 26 and 77 were detained in connection to drug trafficking.
The group was detained on Tuesday, and operated in several neighbourhoods in the Portuguese capital.
During the operation, police officials confiscated 59 doses of cocaine, 485 doses of heroine, a knife and 2,240 euros (2,494 U.S. dollars) in cash.
All of the detained have a criminal background and were presented to a judge.
Three of the people were sentenced to pre-trial detention, another person to biweekly presentation and the remaining had to identify and verify their places of residency. Enditem
