NEW DELHI, July 25 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 people were killed and six others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and an autorickshaw in the eastern Indian state of Bihar's Muzaffarpur district Monday, said police.
The accident took place in a village called Jhapha in which 10 persons died on the spot while the injured were rushed to hospital.
Road accidents are common in India. Official statistics say at least 140,000 are killed yearly on the road in the country.
