HO CHI MINH CITY, July 29 (Xinhua) -- The Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo 2016 will take place here from Sept. 8-10 with an expected number of over 30,000 people visiting 270 booths, the municipal Department of Tourism said Friday.
The expo will draw participation of travel companies from many countries and regions including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar, and tourism bloggers from Denmark, France, Finland, Norway and England.
The annual expo will feature many seminars to introduce European, North American and Oceania tourism markets; and the five cities in the lower Mekong River, namely Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Vientiane, Yangon and Ho Chi Minh City. A regional award named Mekong Tourism Alliance will be given during the three-day event.
