RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- World record holder Zou Lijuan of China took gold in the women's javelin F34 at the Rio Olympics on Friday, beating Finland's Marjaana Heikkinen in the final.
Zou recorded a best throw of 21.86 meters, 3.44 meters further than Heikkinen's longest effort.
Germany's Frances Herrmann claimed bronze with a top throw of 18.66m.
Zou, 22, was born with cerebral palsy.
