KATHMANDU, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh will be on a three-day visit to Nepal from Friday at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Rajendra Chhetri, the Army headquarters said here in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Indian Army chief is scheduled to inspect the Nepal-India joint military exercise --the Surya Kiran "X" being held in Rupendehi District of Nepal bordering India.
The Nepali and Indian Armies are conducting a joint military exercise in the area since October 31 and it will be continued till Nov. 13, the army headquarters said in a press statement.
The Surya Kiran series of exercises are being conducted annually and alternatively in Nepal and India.
"The army believes that such a high level exchange of visit at the military leadership between Nepal and India helps to further enhance the friendly relationship between the two armies and the two countries," the statement added.
