GUANGZHOU, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- A dual-currency transit card that can be used in Singapore and south China's Guangdong Province has been issued, the first of its kind in China.
The two-in-one contactless smart card, which will be available starting Friday, contains electronic purses of both places' transit cards -- Singapore's EZ-link and Guangdong's Lingnan Pass.
Card holders can top up at over 100,000 terminals in Guangdong and Singapore with local currency. The card can also be used at convenience stores and restaurants that accept EZ-link and Lingnan Pass.
This card can be used on both countries' public transportation networks.
