ANKARA, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Turkish super league defending champion Besiktas announced on Friday that Brazilian defender Adriano Correia who played for the mighty FC Barcelona between the years of 2010-16 will now be wearing Besiktas JK jersey.
Adriano has numerous European titles under his belt, and BesiktasJK hope that he will repeat the same in Turkey. There is no doubt, with his unique stlyle of playing, the experienced Brazilian will quickly gain a special place in fan's hearts, the statement said.
The Brazilian full-back leaves FC Barcelona after six seasons in which he made 189 appearances, scored 17 goals, and won 16 titles Besiktas JK and FC Barcelona have come to an agreement for the transfer of Adriano Correia for the amount of 600,000 euros, plus up to 1.7m euros more if Besiktas were to qualify for the UEFA Champions League while Adriano's contract is still in force.
