HANGZHOU, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Sunday, calling for firmly supporting each other's efforts in safeguarding sovereignty, security and development interests.
Noting that the two countries should strengthen all-round strategic cooperation, Xi urged China and Russia to push forward the dovetailing of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Putin is here to attend the G20 summit on Sept. 4-5.
