MADRID, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Huawei Spain, the arm of the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, has been certified as a Top Employer 2018, by the Top Employers Institute, the company confirmed in a press communique on Thursday.

The Netherlands-based Top Employers Institute is the global certifying company which "recognizes excellence" in the conditions companies create for their workers. 2018 is the second consecutive year that Huawei has been certified as a "Top Employer" after it was recognized for the first time in 2017.

Huawei Spain was praised for the way it attracts and develops talent and the excellent conditions offered to workers through its Human Resources department.

"It is an honor for Huawei to receive this award for the second year in succession as it confirms our strategy to attract and retain talent is on the right track," said Tony Jin Yong, CEO of Huawei Spain.

He said that recognition from organizations such as the Top Employers Institute inspired Huawei Spain to "strengthen" its development of young talent, adding that the company would continue to work closely with "universities and business schools," to continue offering opportunities.

The Top Employers Institute evaluates 600 good practices in human resources in making its decisions.
