JAKARTA, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Poisonous moonshine has killed at least 10 people in Indonesia's capital and its outskirt cities, a senior police officer said here Wednesday.
Police chief in East Jakarta Senior Commissioner Tony Surya revealed that the home-distilled drink was consumed by the victims in several places.
The victims were rushed into hospitals and a health clinic, but died after arriving there, the police chief said.
"The 10 victims were found in several scenes (hospitals and a health clinic)," he said at the Jakarta metropolitan police headquarters.
Police are hunting for the trader and distributor of the deadly product, he added.
