HO CHI MINH CITY, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Carom Billiards Championship 2018 kicked off here on Wednesday, drawing participation from 48 cueists.
The cueists include defending champion Nguyen Quoc Nguyen from Vietnam, who is ranked the 10th in the world, Choi Sung Won from South Korea (the 12th in the world), Tran Quyet Chien from Vietnam (the 15th) and Cho Jae Ho from South Korea (the 16th).
Vietnamese cueists are treating the five-day event as their rehearsal for the World Cup event in Turkey in late April, and another World Cup event in Ho Chi Minh City in May, the municipal Department of Culture and Sports said.
