KAMPALA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Uganda's national cricket team will have two more international friendly games against visiting Speedy Cricket Academy from India.

"We are glad that yet again we shall have two international matches to prepare our team against a visiting Indian side. These games are coming at the right time to put our players in shape ahead of the ICC event," said Martin Ondeko, the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) administrator.

Ondeko said the Speedy Cricket Academy has already arrived in the country and will face a local select side on Sunday before they play the national team in two matches on April 9 and 10 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Roger Mukasa, Uganda's team captain, said he is happy that they get another opportunity to test the team few days after having games against the Saudi Arabia team in international ties.

"We are going to make sure we give our best and correct some of the mistakes we had during the games against Saudi Arabia," added Mukasa.

Uganda will also use the matches to prepare their team ahead of the ICC World Cricket League Division Four slated for April 28 to May 6 in Malaysia.

Uganda was relegated to Division 4 last year together with Malaysia after they finished 5th in the tournament held in Kampala. In Malaysia they will play against the hosts, Jersey, Bermuda and Vanuata.

The ICC World Cricket League Division Four in Malaysia will also form part of the 2017-2022 cycle of the World Cricket League, which determines the qualification for the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
