ST. PETERSBURG, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The Customs of the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, bordered by Poland and Lithuania, expects a fourfold increase in the workload on checkpoints during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Interfax reports that all 13 local customs checkpoints will work during this period: eight automobile checkpoints, three railway ones, as well as sea and air checkpoints.
The largest automobile checkpoint in the region, Mamonovo-2, has already introduced the tax free system, which is currently being tested in several regions of the country.
Kaliningrad will host four games during the 2018 FIFA World Cup: on June 16, 22, 25, and 28.
