TEHRAN, April 24 (Xinhua) -- A senior Iranian security official vowed Tuesday that Iran will punish Israel for killing its military advisers in an air raid on Syria.
The Islamic republic would decide on the time, place and way to respond to the Israeli "evil" move , Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said.
"Israel has violated Syria's air space and has targeted the forces fighting terrorism," Shamkhani said, adding that Israel should wait for the consequences and retaliation.
Shamkhani made the remarks on Tuesday before leaving Tehran for an international security conference in Russia's Sochi.
On April 8, Israel reportedly launched airstrikes on Syria's T4 air base, killing 14 people including Iranian military advisers.
