ATHENS, June 8 (Xinhua) -- A highway accident on Friday killed six migrants, including three children, and injured 10 in northern Greece, according to national news agency AMNA.
Three of the seriously injured were hospitalized, medics quoted by the report said.
The accident occurred near the city of Kavala, some 335 km north of Athens, when a mini van carrying the migrants overturned and crashed onto rocks.
Survivors told the police that most of the passengers were from Iran.
More than one million migrants and refugees have reached Greece since 2015 to escape wars at home or in attempts to look for a better future in Europe.
