WARSAW, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Over 40 people were injured Friday in a traffic accident involving a coach and truck in Tenczyn, southern Poland.
Four people in most serious condition, including the coach and truck driver as well as one child, have already been transported by helicopter to hospitals in Krakow.
The road has been completely blocked, while specialized equipment comes to the site.
According to the Spokesman of Lesser Poland Provincial Fire Department Sebastian Wozniak, all people trapped in vehicles have already been let out and taken to local hospitals.
The rescue action includes five helicopters, numerous ambulances and fire brigades.
The main cause of the accident is still to be determined, however, according to the police, the coach has collided with the truck.
The coach was transporting 47 people, mostly children from Warsaw coming back from their trip to the mountains.
