SARAJEVO, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Heavy rains, accompanied by strong winds, on Saturday hit Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) cities of Trebinje and Bileca, some 180 km south of the capital, causing flooding.
The bad weather has caused blackout in several villages around Trebinje, local media reported.
Local Fire Protection Brigade stated that there are no reports on serious damages.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Bileca, 121 liters of rain per square meter.
On Friday, the Federal Institute for Hydrometeorology (FHMZ BiH) issued an orange alert, forecasting intense rainfall and thunderstorms in northern and southern BiH.
