NEW DELHI, June 14 (Xinhua) -- At least four persons have been killed and more than 20 others injured in a collision between a bus and a truck in southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, police said.
The accident occurred in the port city of Vishakhapatnam.
"The bus carrying some 30 people back from a pilgrimage in northern Indian holy city of Varanasi was hit by the truck. Four people died on the spot, those injured have been admitted to a state-run hospital," a police official said.
Eye-witnesses told police that the truck was travelling at high speed and it's driver lost control of the vehicle.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, the official said. "A manhunt has also been launched to nab the truck driver who is absconding. He has been booked for rash and negligent driving," he added.
