HANOI, June 15 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 Hanoi International Marathon, the first of its kind in Vietnam's Hanoi, will take place here next April with the participation of tens of thousands of athletes around the world.
At the event slated for April 14, 2019, runners from 50 countries and regions will compete at three categories of 10km, 21km and 42km, according to the Hanoi Culture and Sports on Friday.
The marathon's organizers will start receiving online registration in September. Athletes will begin running by the Opera House and finish beside Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake in the heart of the city.
