MOSCOW, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday discussed the schedule of political contacts between Moscow and Washington, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
In a telephone conversation on the U.S. initiative, Lavrov and Pompeo discussed bilateral relations between Russia and the United States, including the schedule of political contacts between the two countries in the near future, the ministry said in a statement.
They also touched upon issues regarding the Syrian settlement on the basis of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2254 and tasks of pooling efforts to address the problems of the Korean Peninsula, according to the statement.
