KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, June 23 (Xinhua) -- At least one civilian was killed and three others were injured as a blast rocked Spin Boldak town in the southern Kandahar province on Saturday, an official said.
"According to preliminary report, one civilian was killed and three others were injured in the blast that rocked Spin Boldak town today afternoon," the official told Xinhua but declined to be identified.
Spokesman for provincial governor Daud Ahmadi has confirmed the statement, saying "an investigation has been initiated into the case" and details would be made to the public later.
