BANGKOK, July 2 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at a large-sized, export-bound seafood factory on Bangkok's southwestern outskirts on Monday.
The blaze engulfed a shrimp frying factory of Thai Royal Frozen Food Co. on Monday morning, a major exporter of frozen and processed seafood products, located in Samut Sakhon province, about 40 kilometers southwest of the Thai capital, said the provincial police.
Some LPG tanks inside the factory were believed to explode and start the blaze. It took about two hours for over 20 fire engines to extinguish it.
No factory workers were reportedly injured in the fire which apparently claimed millions of U.S. dollars in damage, the police said.
