Living environment improved in rural China

Combined photos taken on Nov. 12, 2008 (upper) and June 7, 2018 show villager Wang Wenzhang's old thatched cottage and new house in Shangbao Village of Napo County, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Located at China's southwest boarder, Napo County used to be a poverty-stricken place. Local government has devoted to infrastructure construction in the past decade and residents' living conditions have been greatly improved. (Xinhua/Zhang Ailin)
