NEW DELHI, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Two boys drowned at sea, two remained missing and one was rescued alive while swimming off the beach in western Indian state of Maharashtra, police said Friday.
The boys drowned at Mumbai's Juhu beach on Thursday evening.
"Last evening five boys who were swimming here got drowned, out of which one was recused by the life guards. The other four went missing," a police official said.
"So far two bodies have been fished out and search for remaining two is underway."
According to the police, search resumed Friday morning with navy deploying helicopters as part of their rescue efforts.
Coast guard officials told media the sea conditions were rough and high tides were rising when the boys ventured into the sea.
