ULAN BATOR, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of dealing with emergency situations, Mongolia's National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said Friday.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between head of the NEMA, Tuvshun Badral, and visiting State Secretary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mambetov Azamat Muratovich, in Ulan Bator.
During the meeting, they signed an action plan (2018-2020) to implement a memorandum of understanding which was inked in 2016 by the two sides with the aim to enhance cooperation on preventing and dealing with emergencies.
The Kyrgyz side has also invited four Mongolian rescuers to participate in the third international divers training for rescue services of the International Civil Defence Organization member states which will take place in Cholpon-Ata, a resort town in north Kyrgyzstan from July 20 to Aug. 1.
