SINGAPORE, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.12 percent or 3.93 points to close at 3253.01.
A total of 2.32 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.12 billion Singapore dollars (about 822.83 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 251 to 150.
The STI index closed down 0.79 percent or 25.75 points to close at 3,249.08 on Wednesday.
