SINGAPORE, July 13 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.23 percent or 7.34 points to close at 3,260.35.
A total of 1.72 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 917.6 million Singapore dollars (about 670.34 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 225 to 154.
The STI index closed up 0.12 percent or 3.93 points to close at 3,253.01 on Thursday.
