BEIRUT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon and China will witness a broader cooperation in the coming period, President of the Arab Chinese Cooperation and Development Association (ACCDA) Kassem Tofailli told Xinhua on Monday.
ACCDA will take part in the 2018 Silk Road Business Summit in China on Oct. 16 where the association's Vice President Jamil Hodeib, a Chinese medicine doctor, will be a keynote speaker, said Tofailli.
"This is how we push forward the cooperation between the two nations in the field of Chinese medicine," said Tofailli.
"We will meet with officials in Beijing to discuss the possibility of expanding Chinese medicine to Lebanon by establishing a center in the country," he added.
The association also aims at creating cooperation between Lebanese and Chinese universities in people to people exchange.
He said that ACCDA is a platform for people to communicate on various aspects such as technology, medicine, cultural exchange and education.
