NAIROBI, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The annual Lamu Cultural Festival has become a popular carnival that attracts an increasing number of tourists from home and abroad.
Lamu Old Town in Kenya's coastal region boasts a unique cultural heritage that was passed down for over 700 years and it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
The festival, which was held last week, has showcased the diverse and distinct Lamu culture with dances, displays of handicraft and unique competitions such as donkey races. The annual festival has been held since 2001.
