RABAT, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's King Mohammed VI congratulated on Wednesday Andry Nirina Rajoelina following his election as president of Madagascar.
In his congratulatory message, the king expressed to Rajoelina his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for success in fulfilling his mission.
The king recalled his visit to Madagascar in November 2016, stressing that it was an opportunity to "lay the foundation for closer cooperation" which resolutely focuses on supporting Madagascar's efforts in sustainable development.
He also underlined his strong determination to work along with President Rajoelina to develop the bilateral partnership between the two countries to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and promote peace, stability and development in the African continent.
