BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Disney and Marvel's "Avengers: Endgame" continued to lead Chinese mainland daily box office despite a drop of daily grossing.
The superhero movie grossed 24.03 million yuan (about 3.53 million U.S. dollars) on Wednesday, compared with 28.60 million yuan from the previous day, according to data from China Movie Data Information Network available on Thursday morning.
It was followed by Lebanese film "Capernaum" and domestic romantic drama "Always Miss You," which took in 13.29 million yuan and 2.80 million yuan respectively.
"Avengers: Endgame" in the 15 days since its April 24 premiere has generated a total of 3.97 billion yuan in the Chinese mainland box office, data showed.
