MOSCOW, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed on Monday to bolster coordination to counter the spread of COVID-19.
In a phone conversation at the initiative of the Israeli side, the two leaders also discussed other issues related to bilateral ties, the Kremlin said in a statement, giving no other details.
Israel has so far registered 8,611 COVID-19 cases with 54 deaths, while Russia has tallied 6,343 infections, including 47 fatalities. ■
