Zhang Jiacheng, 14, is a student in his first year of the town middle school. In 2010, the only four-year-old boy lost part of his right arm due to an accidental event.

Though stricken by the misfortune, Zhang did not give up his life. In 2018, he met with basketball for the first time during a free basketball training class for children in summer vacation held by local government, and has loved this sport since then.

With strong interest in basketball, Zhang has a dream to be a professional basketball player. For it, he keeps practicing basketball at and after school every day.

Zhang's hard efforts finally paid off. His video of skillfully playing basketball with one arm went viral on internet, winning applause and encouragement from numbers of netizens.

For these, Zhang said he just wants to pay his attention to basketball, and one day realize his dream of being a professional basketball player. (Xinhua/Deng Hua)
