Jiangsu move past Shandong in CBA.

QINGDAO, China, July 20 (Xinhua) -- The unstoppable combination of Wu Guanxi and Antonio Blakeney poured in 47 points, helping the Jiangsu Dragons upset the Shandong Heroes 101-92 at the 2019-2020 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) here on Monday.

Jiangsu and Shandong are set to accompany each other until the end of the regular season as they are scheduled to meet again on Wednesday in their respective last game before the playoffs.

Although the win was not enough to get them further this season, the Dragons didn't give up on the game. Wu Guanxi showed dominance in paint as he put up 23 points, eight more than what the three centers from Shandong combined for. After Wu made another easy two into the fourth quarter, Jiangsu enlarged the advantage to 10 points for the first time and led as many as 61-48.

Shandong was close to managing a comeback as Chen Peidong and Li Jingyu shot three consecutive three-pointers and cut the deficit to 93-90 with 1:37 on the clock, but Blakeney answered from downtown and Wu knotted the score 98-92 55 seconds before the game ended, which snuffed out any hopes of a comeback.

Blakeney collected a game-high 24 points. Zhang Hui led Shandong with 21 points.
