XINGTAI, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Su Chuan, a 37-year-old farmer, rented more than 500 mu (about 33 hectares) of land from the cooperative to plant wheat. The application of high-quality wheat varieties, mechanized farming and fine field management made the wheat yield reach more than 550 kg per mu.
After nearly eight months of growth, wheat has reached the harvest season now. Although getting busier and busier, Su Chuan still enjoys the joy brought by the harvest.
At present, a total of 65 professional farmers have cooperated with Jinshahe Crop Planting Cooperative by means of converting technology into shares and renting land for agricultural production. Their harvests will be purchased by Jinshahe and processed into flour, dried noodles and other products, which sell quite well in domestic and overseas markets.
