BEIJING, March 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Israel is willing to share innovation experience and advanced technology with China for its continued growth, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during an online chat with Xinhua netizens on Wednesday.
Israel is a world leader in many areas in spite of its small size and population, Netanyahu said, explaining that Israeli people “of various disciplines” meet to have new ideas.
This “cross fertilization” is the secret of Israel’s technological success, he stressed.
In his interaction with Chinese netizens, Netanyahu shared Israeli technologies regarding environment, transportation, and human health.
Attaching importance to clean water, Israeli people recycle almost 90% of their waste water, he introduced.
This technology is “well-developed in Israel”, the prime minister highlighted.
Another prominent area, according to him, is automotive technology, as the driveless car may ensure a safer tour with less time.
Netanyahu also elaborated on Israeli medical data card, a practical technology that helps people live longer and healthier.
He said that 98% of Israeli people have their personalized medical cards with computerized data, which can help save more time and money.
They fit perfectly into the needs of China and its plans to grow and develop, Netanyahu added. The prime minister also spoke highly of the Chinese people for their “traditional pursuit of scholarship, excellence, and entrepreneurship”.
“There are a lot of similarities between the Jewish people and Chinese people.” said Netanyahu.
Netanyahu paid an official visit to China from March 19 to 22 at the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang.
