BUJUMBURA, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and three others injured in a grenade explosion on Wednesday night in the south of the Burundian capital Bujumbura, the Burundian police said Thursday.
Burundian Police Spokesman Pierre Nkurikiye said an unidentified person exploded a grenade in a household at Gikoto in Musaga neighborhood around 8:00 p.m.
Three young men believed to be members of the Burundian ruling party youth's league Imbonerakure died on the spot and three others were injured, according to Nkurikiye.
He indicated that the head of the Imbonerakure youth's league in Musaga, Audifax Ndayizeye, was among the three killed.
According to him, the injured people include a woman, her child and another man.
Nkurikiye added that injured had been rushed to hospital immediately after the blast.
Four suspects were arrested right after the attack, the fifth suspect, a Rwandan national, was arrested on Thursday morning.
