XINING, China, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Jon Aberasturi from team Ukyo (UKO) won Tour of Qinghai Lake opener.
Though this is not his first victory in cycling race, the 28-year-old cyclist was still very excited.
"To win the stage one is very significant. It's very important in the whole tour and for the whole team," Jon said.
Jon Aberasturi has rich experience in cycling race. He began cycling exercise at the age of 12, when, after having tried many other sports such as football, basketball and so on, he found that cycling was his favorite one.
Undoubtedly, cycling is a demanding sport that is highly energy consuming. "I have won many races before 20, but after that, I met with many new challenges," he said, "there were many young and professional athletes, and I found it was hard for me."
As for the Tour of Qinghai Lake, Jon said it was a difficult and big race. There are a lot of professional riders and top teams, but he enjoys the race and feels excited about it.
