BEIJING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Dongfeng Honda will recall 140,876 vehicles on the Chinese mainland due to a fire risk in the engine system.
The affected model is the Honda Jade manufactured between Nov. 14, 2012 and Nov 16, 2015, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine announced Tuesday.
The model has a faulty design in its rechargeable battery which may generate a fire in the engine and lead to other potential risks, the administration said in a statement on its website.
The recall will begin on Sept. 25.
All faulty parts will be repaired free of charge.
