FRANKFURT, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- China Economic Information Service (CEIS), an affiliate of Xinhua News Agency, on Friday inked deals with some 20 think-tanks and media outlets across Europe to establish a "Belt and Road" financial information partnership.
The partnership aims to build a "silk road of financial information," Kuang Lecheng, vice president of CEIS, said at the inaugural ceremony in Frankfurt.
Underlining that high-quality financial information is crucial for companies to make business decisions, Kuang said CEIS has been dedicated to constructing "Xinhua Silk Road" platform to meet the demands of various clients who are in need of financial information pertaining to the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Xinhua Silk Road platform, launched in 2015, aims to help Chinese companies go overseas and overseas companies come to China.
DPA-AFX (Germany), Class Editori (Italy), Polish News Agency, Le Soir(Belgium), Metro (Britain), The Financial World (Spain), Open Communication(Spain), Tanjug News Agency (Serbia), Athens News Agency were among the partners signing a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of "Belt and Road Economic and Financial Information Partnership" with CEIS.
Other partners included European Institute for Asian Studies (Belgium), Institute of International Relations (Greece), Thomas More Institute (France), Silk Road Connectivity Research Center (Serbia), Center for Poland-Asia Studies (Poland), Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (Greece).
