RIYADH, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday that it will unblock applications for internet calls from midnight Thursday.
Adel Abuhameed, spokesman of Communications and Information Technology Commission, said all applications which provide visual and audio internet call services and meet the organizational rules of the country, including FaceTime, Snapchat, Skype, Telegram and Tango, will be unblocked.
Telecoms providers should depend on internet providing services and other added services for revenues, Abuhameed added.
He also promised the government's dedication to providing customers with communication convenience.
