RIYADH, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Saudi authorities said on Thursday that it bust a terror cell linked to Islamic State (IS) militant group in Riyadh.
The operation, which was carried out in three locations, resulted in the death of two IS militants and arrests of five others, Saudi Presidency of State Security said in a statement.
The first militant blew himself up, while security forces killed the second one who refused to surrender, it added.
Security forces also seized Kalashnikov rifles, live ammunition and chemicals used to make explosives, the statement noted.
Saudi Arabia has been engaged in an anti-terror war following a series of IS-claimed deadly blasts across the kingdom in recent years.
