A series of activities were launched in Wanning City, southern China’s Hainan Island to celebrate the Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival, which is held from Nov. 18 to Dec. 30.
Some cultural salons and exhibitions were prepared for the visitors who can experience the culture of the overseas Chinese returned from southeast Asia in the 1950s and 1960s.
In addition, visitors also enjoyed the songs and dances given by the artists from Russia and Paraguay.
A mountain climbing activity was held for tourists, who, by climbing the Dongshan Mountain, a famous Buddhism destination in Hainan, haunted treasures and enjoyed the unique culture.
On Dec. 3, a half marathon was held in the city for runners from home and abroad.
Apart from that, activities such as international surfing festival and water carnival would be held from Dec. 10 to Dec. 17 as well.
