BEIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli Tuesday called on China and India to cement political mutual trust and properly handle disputes to promote bilateral ties.
Zhang made the remarks while meeting with Rajiv Kumar, vice chairman of the Indian government think tank NITI Aayog.
Zhang said China highly values relations with India, and that leaders of both sides have met several times to discuss future ties.
He called on both sides to implement consensus between their leaders to boost China-India relations.
Kumar is in Beijing for a dialogue between NITI Aayog and the State Council Development Research Center.
Zhang asked both think tanks to guide exchanges and offer suggestions for the reciprocal development of both countries.
Kumar said India expects to work with China on economic transformation, and expand cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure and manufacturing.
