COLOMBO, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka and Malaysia signed three bilateral agreements on Monday to expand cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, and science and technology, a statement from Sri Lanka President's office said on Monday.
Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak witnessed the signing of three agreements in Colombo.
The agreements will cover areas such as e-commerce, e-courts, international forums, military training, diplomatic training and intelligence exchange to curb drugs and human smuggling.
The two leaders held bilateral talks before the agreements were signed.
The statement said the Malaysian prime minister visited Sri Lanka to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During the first 10 months of 2017, bilateral trade between Sri Lanka and Malaysia reached 680 million U.S. dollars.
