MOSCOW, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Sergey Chemezov, chief executive officer of Russia's hi-tech giant Rostec Corporation confirmed that Turkey has purchased four Russian S-400 missile defense systems worth 2.5 billion U.S. dollars, local media reported Wednesday.
Chemezov also confirmed that the deliveries will start in March 2020.
Turkey will pay a 45-percent advance while the rest will be covered by Russian loan funds, he added.
The S-400, Russia's most advanced long-range anti-aircraft missile system, can carry three types of missiles, including ballistic and cruise missiles.
