Performance held for people in Xiaogang Village of E China

Gong Lijuan, an artist of National Peking Opera Company performs in Xiaogang Village, east China's Anhui Province, Dec. 26, 2017. The National Opera Company held a gratitude performance to the people in Xiaogang Village on Tuesday. Xiaogang has been known as the "Cradle of China's Rural Reform" since 1978 when villagers risked to adopt a household contract responsibility system, which entrusted the management and production of public owned farmland to individual households through long-term contracts.
