HANOI, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Seven foreign teams and the host team will perform at the 2018 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival from April 29 to June 30 in Vietnam's central Da Nang city, the Da Nang Tourism Department said on Monday.
The eight teams from France, China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, the United States and Vietnam, will shoot fireworks at weekends for at least 20 minutes each performance on the Han River.
A street parade, beer and food festivals, and flash mobile dance performances will be held in the city's places of interest during the festival themed "The Legend of Bridges".
Da Nang received 6.6 million visitors, including 2.3 million foreigners, in 2017, up 19 percent against 2016, while making a total tourism revenue of 19,403 billion Vietnamese dong (858 million U.S. dollars), up 20.6 percent, said the department.
In 2017, Vietnam hosted 12.9 million international arrivals, up 29.1 percent, with the highest growth of 56.4 percent in the number of visitors from South Korea, followed by China (up 48.6 percent) and Russia (up 32.3 percent), according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
