China congratulates Liberia's newly elected president

BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- China Tuesday congratulated George Weah on his election as the new president of Liberia.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said China is ready to work with Liberia to promote the bilateral comprehensive cooperative partnership and benefit the two peoples.
